About Regal Care Services
Regal Care Services aims to provide care for people who need assistance with their activities of daily living. By providing good quality care we hope to help improve the quality of life for service users, carers and their families. Our care is tailored to the individual requirements of each service user and is ascertained by discussion with the service user, carers and their relatives.

Training provided to staff ensures that care services are delivered to a high standard and meet the needs of the service users. This also ensures the safety and wellbeing of customers is maintained to a high level.
Role of the Support Worker
Our support workers need to be friendly, caring and supportive towards service users. Many of the tasks carried out are of a personal and intimate nature. Care must be taken whilst performing these tasks to ensure that the service user’s privacy and dignity is protected at all times. Confidentiality must also be protected at all times as this can compromise service user’s privacy, dignity and safety.
Our support workers are located in the community, usually at the service users’ homes.
The purpose of the role is to enable service users to access and take part in a full range of community activities.
This post involves
- Assisting in the preparation and implementation of a wide range of activities as directed by senior staff
- Making use of existing community resources to meet needs and/or using specifically allocated premises
- Assistance with eating, toileting, bathing or showering, dealing with incontinence etc
- Providing written reports and records
- Operating as a team member; sharing tasks and duties as needed and/or as directed by management
- Attending team and other meetings as required
- Attending training courses as agreed with the management team
- Assisting colleagues at times of staff shortage by covering sessions, annual leave, sick leave etc
Your Responsibilities
To read the Service User’s Plan on each visit and carry out care tasks detailed within the plan. Any changes which need to be made to the plan, should be reported to the office
Make your own risk assessment on each visit. Service User’s conditions may worsen; assess safety for yourself, service users and colleagues. Concerns need to be reported to the office
To use equipment which is provided, such as hoists or moving and handling belts
Occasionally required to take a service user to a pub or an event which involves alcohol
You need to be
- Honest, reliable and trustworthy
- Have good listening and communication skills
- Have empathy for service users’ situations
- Be committed to working as part of a team
- Physically fit and in good health
- Happy to work in a diverse multi-cultural society
- Be aware of the varied needs of people in the community
- Reliable - this is essential as people’s lives are affected by our services
- Willing to do mandatory training and updates as required
- Driving licence is essential for this position
- Experience of working with complex care needs such as brain injury/illness would be highly advantageous
